Appendix
The full working — every table, every source and every concept behind the pages you just saw. Here for the questions, not for the walkthrough.
The category leader's entire message, today
on Plunges”
The leader's whole message: “we're $3,113 cheaper than we were.”
That formula is a full-time job for a team
Average Instagram reach per post.
Fall 2025 proved the formula. Producing it weekly is a team's worth of work.
It has run as a one-person operation — alongside the site, events and everything else.
Not a content problem — a capacity problem. Capacity arrives in September.
Where the next dollar works harder
$0.45 a click — but 22 of 100 became a page view. The DM sidesteps the loss.
0.00 conversions on every term — nothing converted, or nothing was measured. Ours is measured first.
Built to sell, not to capture. The middle of the funnel is the open opportunity.
One thing to fix before we spend a dollar
The positioning says built to last. The warranty page says twelve months.
The buyer comparing you to Plunge at 3am reads the second one.
Make the extended warranty the standard offer.
Already a $600 SKU. Make it the default.
- If the product lasts, honoring it costs little
- Removes the biggest objection to a $7,000 unknown brand
- Adds value without touching price
The first videos we shoot
The Phone Number
A phone rings in the Knoxville shop. Someone answers. One shot.
“Try that with a tub that came in a container.”
The Gym Math
Split screen: $3,600 of gym fees vs. a Journey at 5am.
“You already paid for one. You just don't own it.”
Two Minutes
One take, timer running. The filter, start to finish.
“That's the maintenance. All of it.”
Zero to 37°
Box to 37°F, garden hose and a wall outlet. Timestamped.
“Standard outlet. 3.9 amps. No plumber.”
Where It's Made
The shop floor: hands, welds, serial numbers. No voiceover.
“East Tennessee. Every single unit.”
The Teams
Rapid cuts: UT, NC State, Purdue. From footage you already have.
“When a season depends on recovery, this is what they buy.”
What to expect, honestly
- Your CPM on Meta: $11.10
- Your cost per link click: $0.45
- Your click-through: 2.4%
$1,050 ≈ 2,300 clicks. At 1–2.5% into a DM: 25–55 leads/mo.
Five leads was named a win. Our floor: 10–15 in month one.
Historic cost per lead: ~$76 (if every form is credited to paid).
Our <$45 target is roughly half that, on an untried channel.
The honest caveat: a six-month cycle means September's leads close in Q1 2027. Judge these 90 days on leads, not revenue.
And we built the page anyway
A landing page sits outside our current scope — so rather than quote you for something you can't see, we built one. It is live now. If you want it, we quote it separately; if you don't, it cost you nothing.
- The monthly number above the fold, not the sticker price.
- The gym comparison in a table — the objection that kills deals.
- One form, four fields. Phone required — the field sales actually uses.
- Maintenance answered on the page. Two minutes, standard outlet.
- Proof above the form. UT, NC State, Purdue.
Self-contained HTML, mobile-first.
One file, no dependencies. Loads instantly on a phone.
- Lives at beyondcold.com/lp/arq-home — our traffic never mixes with JSH's
- Its own pixel event and GA4 conversion
- Posts into the same sheet ManyChat writes to
We'll open it live on the call.
“Very few sales have come from the website”
That came up on the kickoff call. Twenty months of GA4 and Clarity put a number on it.
20 seconds average engagement. 40% scroll depth.
82% was paid. The site has never been discovered — it has been bought.
39% of sessions are bots. GA4's second country is Nigeria — ahead of every U.S. city.
41% arrive inside the Instagram or Facebook browser — where the site throws its most common error. LCP 3.7s.
$17,635 has already been spent on ads
$13,643 on Google Ads, across four campaigns. Here is what it bought.
Every search term in the account reports 0.00 conversions — including “cold plunge nashville”, “cold plunge memphis” and “cold plunge knoxville tn”.
Either they produced nothing, or tracking was never wired up. Nobody can tell you which.
$6,959 went to Display — 10,061 clicks at $0.69, the same period Nigeria hit 1,354 users.
Every keyword is broad match — which is why the money reached “natural pain relief” and “game ready ice machine”.
16 months of Search Console: 312 clicks total, and 161 of them are the query “beyond cold”.
Every non-branded query has zero clicks. “cold plunge knoxville tn” sits at position 65 — your own city.
Which is why our $1,050 a month goes to two cities, one objective, three creatives — named, tagged and measured before it spends a dollar.
And $3,992 has already gone into Meta
Ten campaigns from a second ad account. The most useful data in this deck — the exact channel we are about to run.
Cheaper than we assumed
Our plan budgeted $12–25. You are already buying reach at $11.10 per thousand.
Per link click
8,959 clicks for $3,992. The top of this funnel is not the expensive part.
Per person who arrived
Not $0.45. The real cost is 4.4× the click price, and it is entirely self-inflicted.
Of every 100 clicks you paid for, 22 became a person on your site. Each dot is one click.
What we heard
“It's been about six months of questions. I don't exaggerate.”
On the sales cycle“Very few sales have come from the website.”
On where revenue comes from today“Our focus is going to be the 900‑pound gorillas you've already heard of, like a Plunge.”
On the competitive set“Why would you want to own one when you could go to a gym that has one?”
On the objection that kills deals“We don't have enough data to segment.”
On the customer base“I don't expect 500 leads. Five leads would be a significant win.”
On expectationsEverything in this deck is built to answer those six sentences — and the next four pages check every one of them against twenty months of your own data, rather than against our opinion.
Twelve months of your own numbers
Every Instagram and Facebook post you published between August 2025 and August 2026 — 92 posts, pulled at the post level. This is the baseline, and it is more useful than any benchmark we could quote you.
Posts a month on Instagram
Across the whole year. The plan in this deck is 14–16 — and cadence is the smallest of the three things that need to change.
Follows earned in a year
Roughly 23 a month. 196 of them came from just two posts — which tells us exactly what to make more of.
Average Facebook reach
Per post. Against 1,639 on Instagram. Facebook is contracted and we'll run it — but we won't pretend it's a growth channel.
Source: Meta Business Suite post-level exports, Aug 20 2025 – Aug 24 2026, de-duplicated across eleven overlapping reports.
Your best ad and your worst were both yours
Nineteen times the cost per click separates them. The difference is not budget — it is what was in the frame.
Spend, reach, cost per click. Your single biggest campaign was the UT golf team — the same content that wins organically. The pattern holds on both sides.
Nineteen times the cost per click of your best campaign. “Play or Plunge” was one of your strongest organic posts — 69 follows — and one of your worst ads. Great organic content is not automatically a great ad, which is exactly why September tests three angles before October spends on one.
Six things your data says that nobody has acted on
Hashtags are being used exactly wrong
Posts with 6+ hashtags reach 4,248. Posts with 1–5 reach 466 — worse than using none at all (1,797). Thirty of your fifty-one posts sit in the dead zone.
There is a caption length that converts
80–200 characters: 8.1 follows per post. Under 80: 0.6. Over 200: 3.3. Short captions look clean and produce nothing.
Offers buy reach and kill follows
Posts with a price or code: 5,532 reach, 1.0 follow. Posts without: 1,480 reach, 5.65 follows. Discounting works — at getting seen by people who don't stay.
Tagging a team buys credibility, not reach
Posts tagging @vol_golf, @purduesoccer and the rest actually reach less (1,377 vs 1,854) — but their engagement rate is 30% higher. They convince; they don't distribute. So they need paid behind them.
Reels and images do different jobs
Median reel 870, median image 110 — reels almost never fail. But images earn 6.3 follows and 3.8 saves per post against 5.4 and 2.1, and the best post of the year was one. Reels for reach, images for conversion.
One post got 78 saves. The next best got 10.
On a $5,000 purchase, a save is the strongest intent signal there is. “Envision this on your deck” was a still photo of a tub on a deck. Nobody has made a second one.
The starting line
What we verified across the accounts you gave us access to, as of August 25.
Of paid clicks ever reach the page
Meta has been used — $3,992 across ten campaigns. It bought 8,959 link clicks and only 1,995 landing page views. Four out of five people you paid for never saw the site.
Lead-form submissions, unworked
GA4 has recorded 180 lead-form submissions and 954 form submits in twenty months. The site does capture — roughly nine a month — and nobody owns what it captures.
Owners on the lead sheet
Klaviyo and Tidio are installed. Lead handling is manual, no CRM, no alerts, and no named person responsible for answering within a day.
Warranty
The pitch is "built to last, and we'll fix it." The warranty says twelve months. We come back to this — it is the cheapest fix on this page.

The product isn't the problem
Nothing is generating it — and the content that used to is gone. Average reach fell from 4,158 to 487 a post while output doubled. Sales still come from one golf program telling another.
- Growth capped at the speed of word of mouth
- 29 new followers in seven months
The site is built for someone ready to spend $5,000 today. Everyone in month one of a six-month decision gets a newsletter box. The people most likely to buy in Q1 are the ones the site can't hold on to.
- Traffic arrives, looks, and leaves untracked
- Paid media has nowhere to send anyone
Six months of questions, answered one at a time, by hand, by two people who also run the company. The questions are always the same ten — and not one of them is on file anywhere.
- Two people are the funnel
- Every lead that goes quiet is gone for good
Close these three and the same product sells itself faster. Nothing in this strategy asks you to change what you build.
Who you're actually up against
Two brands here can honestly say American-made. One charges $11,399 for it. Renu has already proven the claim carries a premium — and you're charging $4,400 less for the same truth.
Follower counts and pricing as published August 2026. Beyond Cold's own baseline lands with the first report.
Three objections, three answers
“I can just use the one at my gym.”
This is the one that kills deals — and it is a math problem, with the math on your side: a $60 membership over five years is $3,600 — more than a Journey, and the gym is closed at 5am.
Affirm, made loud. 0% APR for six months already exists and almost nobody knows. We turn the monthly number into the headline, not the footnote.
“It looks like a lot of upkeep.”
This is the most common customer worry — filters, water changes, chemicals. The truth is a basket filter rinsed weekly and a standard 120V outlet at 3.9 amps. The truth is better than the fear.
Show it in real time. One unedited take, timer running. If maintenance takes two minutes, film two minutes.
“I've never heard of you.”
A new name asking for $7,000 against a brand with a marketing budget. This is the real cost of the six-month cycle — it isn't indecision, it's trust being built one email at a time.
Proof, not adjectives. UT golf, NC State, Purdue, clinics and studios. Named, on camera, on repeat.
We pulled every live ad in the category
Meta Ad Library, United States, active as of this week. 6,626 live ads mention cold plunge. Here is what they're actually saying — and what it tells us to do.
Your loudest competitor isn't a tub.
The advertisers dominating this category are recovery studios selling sessions, not brands selling equipment:
- SweatHouz — “Book your private suite”
- Degree Wellness — “First session only $20”
- Vitalize — “First session $17.50”
- Vitality — “Try all 3 for $40”
- EōS Fitness — “Built for your recovery”
The gym objection isn't a hunch. It's a funded ad campaign sitting in your buyer's feed.
The brands that sell tubs are racing to zero.
Live product ads, verbatim:
- Plunge — “Save Up to $3,113 on Plunges”
- “Cyber Monday $1,100 Off — Ends Today”
- “Only $399.99 Right Now ⏳”
- “Only $499.99 — Ends Soon”
It's the loudest sound in the category — which is precisely why not making it stands out.
The premium tier advertises identity, never price.
Sun Home — “Your Daily Reset, Upgraded”. Medical Saunas — “Full-Body Recovery Starts Here”. Sauna Protocol — “Heat your body. Not your balls.”
No numbers, no countdowns. And the copy that travels furthest is blunt, specific and a little funny — not aspirational wellness language.
That's the register the three ads on the next page are written in.
So we don't shout a discount and we don't whisper wellness. We say the one true thing nobody else in this feed can say — and we say it plainly.
The hooks already working in this category
Live U.S. ads, pulled this week. We're not guessing at what lands — we're reading what's already funded.
Where the 90 days go
One segment carries the budget. All three carry the content — because a video of NC State's golf program persuades a homeowner in Nashville just as well.
A funnel built for six months, not six minutes
Reels and graphics that earn attention without asking for anything.
The first real trade: a phone number, given in a conversation.
- ManyChat, in the DM
- Comment-to-message ads
The months where deals are won or quietly lost.
- ManyChat conversation
- Objection content in feed
- Your sales team, by phone
A human call, with real numbers in front of them.
- Your sales team, from the sheet
- Affirm, front and centre
- beyondcold.com
The owner becomes the next referral — which is how you got here.
- Owner and proof content
- Reviews and testimonials
- The referral ask
Today stages 02 and 03 do not exist. That is where a six-month buyer lives, and it is where the whole funnel currently leaks.
So you can tell exactly who moved the needle
You asked to see which agency moves the needle. Here is the plumbing that answers it without argument.
Every campaign, ad set and ad we ever launch begins with ARQ_. One filter in Ads Manager separates our work from theirs, permanently.
- Dedicated landing pages — beyondcold.com/lp/arq-[segment]. Our traffic never lands where theirs does.
- UTMs on everything, matching the campaign name exactly, so GA4 and Ads Manager tell the same story.
- Distinct conversion events for our forms, so leads are attributable to a source and not to a guess.
- One monthly report that shows spend, leads and cost per lead — ours, clearly labelled, next to the site total.
We'd also like view access to the Google Ads account JSH runs (883-622-3472) — not to touch it, but so we don't build content around search terms you're already paying for.
The channel ecosystem
Two platforms, done properly, beat five done thinly. Everything in this scope points at one outcome: a phone number your sales team can call.
And the four that follow
The Chiropractor
You're already filming with a chiropractic partner. We cut it for the commercial buyer: a clinic owner explaining what the tub does for his practice, not his body — retention, rebooking, revenue per room.
“It pays for itself by March.”
37 vs 50
What actually happens at each temperature, and why the recommendation is 45–55°F rather than as cold as the machine will go. Honest expertise, not intimidation.
“Colder isn't better. Here's what is.”
The Unboxing Nobody Films
Everything that arrives, everything in the box, and honestly what you'll need that isn't. Radical transparency, which is cheap to produce and impossible to fake.
“Here's what we don't include.”
Six Months of Questions
The ten questions every buyer asks, answered on camera, one per take, in a single afternoon. Cut into ten reels that answer a question each, and reused for months. The highest-leverage shoot on this list.
The evergreen library that answers the cycle.
Ten concepts, two shoot days, and a content library that keeps working for a year.
Who does what
Shoots. Doesn't edit.
We send a shot list with the monthly plan. Raw footage, phone quality is fine, no editing required — that's our job.
- The shop floor and the people in it
- Real customers, clinics, teams
- Setup and maintenance, in real time
- Anything unplanned worth having — you're already filming five videos a week
Everything after the camera stops.
- Art Director — Valeria. Owns the account's visual language across every format.
- Multimedia Designer — graphics, carousels and the monthly feed layout.
- Content Creator — Billy. Video and photo editing, and the localisation of the Arctic Oasis library into U.S.-ready material.
- Community Manager — Héctor Vázquez. Publishing, comments, DMs and the ManyChat flow.
- Operations & direction — Héctor Solther and Oscar. Schedule, quality and your escalation path.
We load next month's full plan — copy and assets — into Monday.com.
You review and comment in the platform. Approve or mark up, item by item.
We adjust, schedule, and the month goes live on the 1st.

Black Friday, done your way. Constant discounting teaches people to wait for the next sale. So November's offer is the extended warranty plus a full starter kit — real value, zero erosion of the price you just set.
Nothing runs in Florida or Texas. Not one dollar, not one city. Clean data for you, no bidding war against your other agency.
Four things we'd add — and aren't charging you for yet
None of these are in the current agreement, and we're not going to quietly slip them in. We're naming them because your problem is a six-month sales cycle, and these are the four things that shorten it.
The landing page
Already built and live — open it on this call. Somewhere for paid traffic to land that isn't a shop page.
Quoted separatelyEmail nurture
Klaviyo is installed and doing nothing. A six-month decision is the exact thing email was invented for.
Quoted separatelyThe YouTube library
Ten questions, ten answers, searchable forever. Social content disappears in a day; this compounds for years.
Quoted separatelyCommercial outreach
A named list of clinics, studios and gyms across the target cities, with a sequence your team can actually work.
Quoted separatelyThe contracted scope — strategy, visual identity, content, localisation, Instagram and Facebook, Meta Ads, ManyChat and reporting — is what the next 90 days deliver. These four are what we'd do next, in the order we'd do them.
